Status: Flock Sitter
As flock sitters, you are responsible for managing their own schedules, duties, and taxes. You are not employees of Flock Sitting MN. Flock sitters retain the flexibility to set their own schedules and work arrangements. Flock sitters may be subject to self-employment tax. Fees: 18%
Fees cover costs associated with website/software, training and development, legal/compliance costs, transaction fees, and administrative expenses. By way of comparison, Rover has a, combined, 31% fee (20% to sitters, 11% to owners), and Wag! assesses a 40% fee to sitters. Below is a breakout of the fee allocation. This is subject to change, however we are committed to keeping overhead costs low so that flock sitters and owners get the most value out of each visit!

Tips: No fees*
Flock Sitting MN does not take a portion of any tips received for services you provide. We firmly believe that tips are a testament to the quality of service provided by our flock sitters and should be received in full as a result of their excellent work.
*Depending on the manner in which tips are given, they may be subject to the 3% fee assessed by the payment processor.

Pay Schedule: On-Demand
Payments will be made to you via Venmo or PayPal (preferably Venmo). You will submit an invoice ticket after you have completed each flock sitting engagement (i.e. when you’ve finished all your visits with someone). We will invoice the customer after we receive your invoice ticket. After the customer pays their balance, you will be issued payment, net of fees.

Training & Development: Flock University
We prioritize the training and development of our flock sitters to ensure they are fully prepared for their responsibilities. Our comprehensive training section, Flock University (Flock U), includes checklists and required videos covering essential tasks and best practices, equipping flock sitters with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver exceptional service to their customers. Administrative Information

  • When flock owners request services that you provide, they will be sent an invoice by Flock Sitting MN after you complete your invoice ticket. Flock Sitting MN will send an invoice to the customer. You will be paid within 3 days of the date the customer completes their payment. You will be paid via either Venmo or PayPal (preferably Venmo)

  • As part of your onboarding, you will have received some information and documents to get you started via email. We have also designed some course material (Flock U) that you are required to complete before your first flock sitting visit. These videos and tutorials are designed to be easily digestible and provide you will the tools and resources you need to be successful. Additional content may become available over time based upon need or request.
