Amanda’s Flock: Amanda and her spouse are piloting Maple Urban Farm, which includes their 12 hens, raised from one day old. Each is a unique heritage breed: Speckled Sussex, Blue-Laced Red Wyandotte, Barred Rock, Rhode Island Red, Olive Egger, Chocolate Orpington, Cream Legbar, Midnight Majesty Maran, Salmon Faverolle, Welsummer, and Easter Egger.

More About Amanda: Amanda is also a Master Gardener who raises fruits, herbs, and vegetables. She enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with friends. In her day job, Amanda works as the Land Policy Associate Director at National Young Farmers Coalition. Her and her spouse are owned by five cats.
