2025 Hunt for the Golden Egg

What: A Twin Cities-wide treasure hunt for a single golden egg
When: April 7th - April 20th, 2025
Where: The boundaries for this hunt include the following cities:
Bloomington
Burnsville
Eagan
Eden Priaire
Edina
Minneapolis
Richfield
Saint Louis Park
Saint Paul
Who: This hunt is geared towards backyard fowl owners, but is open to everyone who wants to participate (see prize info)
Why: Because we are fun and so are you!
Prizes!
Prize (Full): Registered backyard fowl owners are eligible to win the full prize of $150 cash and prize packs from EggPlant Urban Farm Supply and Bloomington Farm & Feed as well as a backyard flock first aid kit!
Prize (Partial): Non-registered/non-backyard fowl owners are still eligible to win a partial prize of $50 cash.
Backyard bird owners who register by the second clue are eligible to win the full prize!

Rules & Stuff
Find the Egg!
Search for the ‘Golden Egg’ within the boundaries (listed above) on public land. The egg will not be hidden on any school or church property or inside any building or dwelling. Don't be a silly goose. Don't break the law.
Solve the Clues!
A new clue will be posted at 12:00pm on the TC Treasure Egg Hunt page and on our Facebook page.
Clue Release Days!
Clues will be released on the following schedule between and posted on or about 12:00pm:
Clue 1 - Monday, April 7th
Clue 2 - Wednesday, April 9th
Clue 3 - Friday, April 11th
Clue 4 - Sunday, April 13th
Clue 5 - Monday, April 14th
Clue 6 - Wednesday, April 16th
Clue 7 - Friday, April 18th
Clue 8 - Sunday, April 20th (Easter)
Respect the Grounds!
The ‘Golden Egg’ will not be hidden under ground or above six feet. Please be a conscientious steward of the outdoors; do no harm to property or nature. Leave all spaces as you found them—or nicer. Seek, don't destroy.
Get Registered!
Register for the hunt before the second clue is published. Only registered backyard bird owners are eligible to claim the full prize amount; others are still eligible to claim the partial prize.
Claim the Prize!
The ‘Golden Egg’ will be hidden with instructions on how to claim the prize.
